Study Abroad Experience
Traveling has always been a huge part of my personal, professional, and academic life. During my Spring 2020 Semester at Syracuse, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Madrid, Spain. Although this experience was cut short due to COVID-19, the time I spent abroad had countless positive contributions to my life.
I lived in Madrid for two months with my host family. I took upper level Spanish courses and a class on Spanish art. Additionally, I took advantage of my European location and traveled to Portugal, the Netherlands, England, Ireland and to other cities in Spain such as Barcelona, Sevilla, Granada, Valencia and Toledo during my time abroad.
Not only did I perfect my Spanish language skills while abroad, but I also gained great insight on Spanish and European culture and history. It was truly an unforgettable and irreplaceable experience during my undergraduate career.
